Since 2016, I have been working mainly with oil paints. Once you have experienced the extraordinary properties and color variety of oil paints, you will never want to use any other medium. Oil paints offer endless possibilities for thinning, intensifying, and applying them, allowing you to achieve the most amazing effects. Above all, the high pigment content ensures an incomparable variety of colors.
Oil paints have excellent properties for portrait painting, so if you see a portrait painted by me, it is very likely that it was painted with oil paints.

This oil painting depicts Switzerland's iconic Matterhorn surrounded by a soft blanket of clouds that envelops the imposing mountain peak as if in a dream. The colors of the sky shift between delicate shades of pink and blue, creating a magical atmosphere that leaves it unclear whether it is sunrise or sunset. This ambiguity invites viewers to read their own story into the work.
Particularly noteworthy is the harmonious tension between the soft pastel tones of the sky and the cool, powerful colors of the mountain, which capture the tranquility and grandeur of the alpine landscape. The flowing depiction of the cloud cover enhances the effect of the Matterhorn, which rises majestically from these gentle surroundings. This work not only reflects the beauty of nature, but also invites viewers to linger and reflect thanks to its balance of realism and emotion. Inspired by snow vacations, the painting captures the magic and tranquility of the mountains in all their depth.
In the summer of 2020, I began working on this three-part sunset painting, my largest painting to date.
It consists of three individual canvases measuring 100 x 120 x 5 centimeters (equivalent to approximately 1.2 square meters per canvas).
It depicts the view from the highest house on a hill in a small port town on an island in Spain. This pop art-style representation is exaggerated and extremely colorful, conveying a mood and a childlike memory of a place rather than attempting to be even remotely realistic.

This triptych in oil paint depicts the picturesque harbor in Port de Sóller on Mallorca, a place full of personal memories and significant moments. Kept in a rather abstract style, the vivid colors of the sunset play a central role, bathing the sea in a warm, golden light. This harmonizes with the intense blue and green tones of the bay and the surrounding landscape. The abstract representation lends the scene a special dynamism and invites viewers to capture the atmosphere of the place in an emotional way.
The work is not only a tribute to the beauty of the harbor, but also to the artist's special connection to this place, which has been a home away from everyday life since her childhood, through her youth and into adulthood. The abstract forms and vibrant color palette give the triptych a unique character and make the timeless magic of Port de Sóller tangible in a very individual way.
In January 2021, I started this 80 x 60 cm portrait of the Dalai Lama. Life got in the way, and I left it on my easel for many months. I didn't continue painting for many weeks because I didn't want this painting to be finished, as I enjoyed the painting process so much. But I am very happy with how this cheeky smile turned out.
Since I wanted to frame this painting in a glass frame and knew from the start that it was not painted on canvas stretched over a wooden frame, but on cardboard covered with canvas, I changed the background several times between dark and light. In the end, I decided on a light background, not white, but more of a gray-beige shade, and a used wall texture, which was created using a mixed technique, i.e., acrylic and oil paints.
